Some Real-Trade tracking blogs (besides this one)

Written on April 9, 2008 by OptionsRopeaDope

For public consumption, here’s some blogs I have follow where the bloggers frequently detail their real trades -

LionOption - JMD doesn’t have alot of commentary, and seems to use the blog mostly for his own record, but the trades are great, and the explanations are valuable, even if they are short. Appears to use the Dan Sheridan methods.

InsaneMoney.com - Mojo pumps the trades out and is all ovr the map. From indications on his side bar, he is very well capitalized, experienced and makes bank every month. Every day seems to have new trades of some kind on equities, ETFs and indexes. The short straddles focused on expirations are too much for my stomach, but he shows how they woek consistently well if you don’t mind not being able to sleep. Also has an active forum, where some of his followers post trade ideas and opinions. Very closely associated with InvesTools.

TraderNate - follows Mojo, as many of these bloggers do.

GekkoTrader - also follows Mojo I like his trades for some reason. OptionMonkey is also in the Insane Money club.

OptionPundit - I really like the option pundit… but don’t expect to see any trades, just bragging about how great the newsletter is doing. I don’t doubt that it is doing well, but what drew to the site a year ago were the frequent trade updates, along with adjustments. That doesn’t happen anymore… still good for the opinion and the archives though.

Put those in your newsreader and you’ll have plenty to chew on. I also follow a few newsletter blogs that talk about trades in the past tense, might post those in the future. Enjoy!
