Book Review - Options Plain & Simple
Written on June 19, 2008 by OptionsRopeaDope
I ave never seen this book mentioned in the same league as others I’ve posted about here, but it is one of my favorites:
Options Plain & Simple is straightforward, with a minimum of jargon. There is a heavy focus on the greeks and spreads, and like the best books in this genre, it is sprinkled with real-world stories. It is short on graphs (at least, compared to it’s peers) and instead relies on price lists of options, alonngside their greeks, but I found that it is a good approach to drive home each lesson. And speaking of lessons, there is a pretty comprehensive quiz at the end of each chapted that goes far beyond multiple choice regurgutation, but leads you to some natural conclusions you should be getting from the text, even if it isn’t spelled out.
This is a book I like to keep around and refer to often to reinforce fundamentals. It’s beginner-intermedite level.
